"VLC Player is great, however, I have not found out how to setup to buffer.."
Like many people lately, people have PC's connected to their TV's to play video content that may be on a network drive.
It would be very nice, I would say mandatory, to be able to setup a buffer size (space or time) to pre-buffer the file to the client PC so that when a slow down occurs for many reasons on the network, the video can play through without glitches.
I realize you can setup a stream on a server then play it remotely and that it most likely has buffering. But for a simple networked hard drive you can't usually run apps. There is no technical reason why one can not program in the the feature to pre-buffer content.
But don't worry, I don't think Media Player has buffering either.
If there is a way to buffer a simple playlist please let me know, or please add that feature.
Thanks and keep up the great work,
Dale
