I like programs that fulfill a specific function and do it well. What you have here is a program that plays your videos without any fluffing around and as a result you can see just about any format without the crap that you tend to get from the multitude of other media players. For a start there's no library, in fact the interface is practically non-existent because VLC is all about the video!

Will give you smooth playback with a small footprint in your system's resources. If you want an uncomplicated way to play your media files, get VLC.
